The transformation issue is a really interesting one. The ideal "transformed" soldier is Delta-trained, speaks several languages, is capable of using numerous weapons systems, is self-contained, is a computer and communications wizard, can fly helicopters and most planes, has optical implants for night vision, has the dedication of a Jedi, and is paid enough so that it is worth his while to remain in the military. Sounds like we'll have robotic armies doing our fighting in the not-too-distant future, with their controllers being the only truly skilled ones.
