You answered your initial question with the remainder of your response. :) If we had struck bin Laden's training camps in Afghanistan before Sept 11, would you then have considered it going over the brink. Yet, that action might have prevented Sept. 11 Do you believe in preventive medicine? Attacking a ruthless enemy who is trying to acquire(if he has not already done so) weapons of mass destruction is using preventive strategy. By doing so, we very well may avoid a nuclear attack.
