WE seem to be at cross purposes here - I thought the so called cowards were the warriors who are fighting in Afghanistan - against a high tech enemy with overwhelming air power, bombs of all kinds including one which fills caves with a sort of aerosol spray one instnat and ignites it the next instant - a perfect weapon for a US public which doesn't care and doesn't care to see - unlike napalm which in these days of TV coverage wouldn't quite fit the living rooms of the public wedged between dandruff commercials and other frivolities.

Were the 9/11 bombers cowards? A moot point indeed - those who call them cowards wouln't readily change places. Are the Palestine suicide bombers cowards? Somehow I think not.

Hello to you Grusum9,
A lot of people call those who commit suicide cowards. They are seriously opposed to assisted suicide as people should not be allowed to make their own decision, but that is a different story.

A warrior can commit suicide. When you go into a battle knowing full well that you are going to die---(most people would call that suicide.) I personally like the word "slime" to show my affection for those who committed 'suicide' on 911.
