Well, my point was that they don't, rudely.

I don't live on the Lower East Side any more, and in this town I've also never seen a cockroach. When we moved here I lived in fear of having packed a pregnant roach. The first time I took out my mixer, a roach ran out and I literally had a brief screaming fit. But that was the only one who made the trip, apparently.
