I think IB and the prop firms with 1 cent/share flat rates are really putting the squeeze on the whole idea of charging ECN fees.

IB is direct access. You route your order to the desired ECN or MM. You can use their smart order routing which will fill you on the best bid offer regardless of who it is.


=> Does IB charge any ECN fees? Or are they simply on a per share basis? I don't see ECN fees anywhere on their site...
