OT:

oh hmm well If they offer the big names. I just want to make sure I have the right policy for what I need; a 1-800 number for whom I would contact for emergencies or policy questions etc ...

I'm bookmarking that site right now going to take a look at them later see what they have to offer.

-part of my job where I used to work would be to verify insurance coverage for people and to also file the insurance after they were treated. That and looking for insurance coverage for myself at one time is as far as my knowledge goes.

BTW... We had picked up Blue Cross/Shield at work. Had too many problems with them. At the same time they had dropped PacifiCare due to low enrollment and high cost. PacifiCare was the best. They then picked up PacifiCare again. But as I've been told, PacifiCare is in trouble financially now. Be carefull with these HMO, Health Insurance people... not good. I'm looking into only disaster health insurance now...only cover the big costs...I'm thinking it might be the best way to go. I know elderly have many daily costs...might still be cheaper and better off covering those yourself?????
