Ericsson Reiterates Guidance On 2002 Wireless Systems Market

HANOVER, Germany -(Dow Jones)- Telefon AB LM Ericsson (ERICY) still expects industry sales of equipment for wireless phone networks this year to be between flat and 10% below 2001's total, a top executive for the Swedish equipment maker said Tuesday.

Mats Dahlin, speaking at the CeBIT technology fair in Hanover, also said that Ericsson still expects its own sales at least to track the overall market trend, if not outperform the market. Dahlin is in charge of Europe, the Middle East and Africa for Ericsson's core systems unit.

Ericsson is the world's largest supplier of equipment for wireless phone networks.
