14:20 ET Bond Ticker : Orders for Boeing (BA 50 -0.88) aircraft plunged in February and will
provide a powerful drag on factory orders given the high cost of jumbo jets. January's orders
totaled 104 as the fall to just 2 aircraft orders in February is the largest decline since July 2000
when a 123 aircraft order decline left a $20 bln (67%) decline in aircraft orders. Since September
Boeing has reported only 5 domestic orders as foreign and other (defense) orders boosted the count
by 239 orders.
