SL - Called cdma- see the QCOM thread. They are acually available now from VZ and from June over the whole country from PCS. LWIN also have them now. Syatem know as 1X and speed - max 144kbps and average 80Kbps. Compares with twisted pair phoneline at around 40Kbps. BTW no recession in Korea which is 100% cdma and is just introducing the upgrade of 1x ie 1X EVDO which is 2Mbps and will be ready in time for the World cup. IE sitting in the stadium a Korean can point his handset/camera at the field and whoever he is talkign to will be able to watch it with him. Best, L
