Ted Re...Sorry, I should have checked to see if FST was into oil or nat. gas........just saw the loss and future earnings being ratcheted down.<<<<

Actually FST is in both. 60% of its reserves in btus in nat gas, the rest oil.

Crude futures have bottomed and now are up over $24 per barrel. Those who claim to be in the know expect the same bottoming for nat. gas. However, we are getting close to Spring so the process will slow down as less fuel is needed to heat homes. <<<<<<

Because of the extremely mild winter and recession, gas prices had bottomed last fall, and is now rising. I believe FST quoted its 2002 expectations based on a $2.75 price for nat gas. for the yr. A higher price should go all the way to the profit line. With the increase in elect. generation using nat. gas, I expect the old patterns to give way to a more steady yr around price. As AC usage goes up; so will reserve elec. generation, which is almost all nat. gas; using up the normal summer buildup.

Just make sure TARO had bottomed. Right now, its downtrend looks very much intact.<<<<<<

Actually Taro did go below 28 this AM. So I bought a small amount 1 k. at 28.05 on margin, instead of selling my FST. A little risky, but I figured, what the heck. With the good q4-01 report, and yesterdays report of rising health care costs, I figured to take a chance and go where the money is. However I put a tight stop under it just in case.
