I listened to CC this AM and was very disturbed by CEO comments about systematic reduction in capital spending across telecom carriers and corporate IT. European market is soft as well. I think the 2003 capex budget coming out sometime in 3Q02 and should shed more light on where 2003 is headed.

What's amazing to me is the idiots that sold today at the lows, on actually good news, because most analysts had their numbers even below today's guidance as the message from Soundview shows. Add to that almost a half a billion dollars of new contracts, new product announcements and Lucent should actually be ending up above yesterday's close today. It is amazing to me that people are so clueless in their stock market trading. No wonder most retail small investors end up losing money in the market and the big fat cats keep taking them to the cleaners. Just amazing.... JMHO.
