The so-called Energy Plan is nothing but a give away to the Rape & Pillage Crowd. It actually is the opposite of a plan. It is a continuation of the troglodyte methods that made perfect sense in 1950, when the U.S. still had oil to be discovered, but makes no sense in 2002, when we know that we've found all the "giants", i.e. large new supplies of oil that are to be found in the U.S.

Instead of doing the sensible thing and embracing wind, solar, fuel cell and other alternatives to pertroleum, the Administration has actually, and nearly criminally in my mind, reduced the research into alternatives that might make this nation less dependent upon the volatile Mid east and the Caspian region for our energy security in the future. It's as if the Administration had in mind to use the very source of energy that would most likely create a need for a permanent war rackets machine. A classic two-fer, if ever there was one. I think it is a horrible mistake for this country. But a windfall for the Carlyle Group, the defense contractors and the oil companies. All of whom prosper as American boys shed their blood in some of the most god forsaken spots on this planet, to protect what? Profits!
