Sad but True - Kay Hutchison is working with Bush and Cheney and Condaleeza Rice to steal your public oil resources and that of your children. ipaa.org prohibits the Mineral Management Service from issuing it's final proposed oil royalty valuation rule until Oct 2000 Of course the Bush administration forgot to issue the valuation rule after Cheney got into office. The valuation rule states that oil pumped from public lands should be priced at the going world rate and the government share set accordingly. What this sleazy tactic means is that oil companies can pump and sell the oil from the common public ground to themselves at ridiculously low prices. The government share of this pittance is a partial-pittance. The refined oil is then sold to the general public at generous summer vacation prices. The oil companies can then use the extra profit to lobby for reduced taxes from the profits made from your oil. TP
