NOK click to change color web site. NOK's funky new color screen phone.

"This tri-band
world phone chooses the best GSM
network automatically in three networks
(GSM 900 /1800/1900) and gives you
coverage on five continents.""

To bad there are no "good" GSM networks. Yesterday's fish dinner warmed over twice. However, talk is still the most common use for a phone -- sooo we jet setters just have to own one of these. I bet these will sell -- not to me--I am sure they did focus groups before developing such a strikingly different design----I must be out of touch

Studies of large funds in Japan over the last 13 years have shown that the only ones that consistently did well were hedge funds that went long some select stocks, and went short other (less select -g) stocks. In a prolonged bear market, it makes sense that this would be a successful strategy (probably still need to be a decent stock picker).

Are we in for a prolonged bear market? 5 consecutive years of 20-30% gains in the index, suggests that a return to the mean will mean a multi-year grind. Many (former) growth stocks are going to be re-classified in the next 3 years - that could mean a wicked contraction in PE...if it's a profitless recovery as many are predicting, well, you do the math! -vbg
