True, but in light of Korea it does not seem like a foolproof strategy nor one that merits the term "draft dodger" for Guardsmen like Bush unless you would unfairly paint them all with the same brush.

Mr. Krinsky pointed out the error and we have had several interchanges. So far we have found no Air National Guard combat units to have served in Viet Nam. And Bush flew F-102's which were reserve aircraft and never were used in Viet Nam because they were essentially old and obsolete. Check this link
