I love last year's software!

I'm also somewhat less enamoured with XP than I was a couple of weeks ago. Its still more stable than anything else I've used, but it has its unattractive aspects. It refuses to allow me to install my old Office 97 -- apparently it thinks I've pirated the software. I'm not a MSFT hater, but this kind of thing together with the lengths one has to go to remove all of the marketing tags, pop-ups, and idiot-interface help boxes is what drives some folks crazy.

Bottom line, I'm very glad I upgraded, but its more of a hassle than it should be. My kids are relentless, and I'm sure I'll be upgrading for them soon as well.
