4:45PM Comverse Tech lowers Q1 guidance (CMVT) 15.85 -0.21: -- Update -- On call, says it expects Q1 revenue to be $220 mln, plus or minus 5%, and a Q1 loss per share of approx. $0.06... the current Multex consensus estimates are $264.38 mln and a profit of $0.12, respectively... is going to limit guidance to Q1 due to continued uncertainty about capital spending environment, but says it expects a return to profitability by the end of FY02... CMVT -1.42 at 14.43
