I agree that an over valued dollar, economically depressed tax revenues and budget busting deficit spending can only lead to a spike in interest rates. It appears that the spike is going to occur in a flat to possibly deflationary economic environment. I don't see the bond or stock market doing well over the rest of the year. That said,if you can buy Treasuries two or three hundred basis points higher later this or next year, grab all you can get.
