There are different types of steel. Stainless Steel is high grade so the ingredients must be more pure. The exact mixture I do not know.

In alloy steel, the iron is still the major component and the additives are generally in smaller amounts. A much more strategic metal is tantalum which is heavily used in electronics and has few world wide sources.
