TSMC does not plan to raise foundry prices in Q2

Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co Ltd said the
company does not plan to raise wafer foundry prices in the second quarter of
the year.

"No, we are not planning to raise our prices as indicated by some reports, "
TSMC senior vice president and chief financial officer Harvey Chang said when
asked to comment on an Economic Daily News report that TSMC and United
Microelectronics Corp will raise their contract-manufacturing prices by 10-20
pct in the second quarter.
