They are mining underneath the town of Flin Flon, Manitoba.

There are some previously unforeseen benefits of having some used adits kicking around.

<<Current per capita income is $480/year. Average wage paid for mine staff: $11,000>>

Reality check. I have some experience in this kind of matter. You are kidding yourself if you think MAN will pay local workers $11,000/year if the average wage is $480.

My company does this all the time. LOCAL engineers hired from the local population are paid a good wage LOCALLY but they are not and will not be paid 23x the average wage! Maybe 2x or 3x but no way would a company pay this much over the going wage LOCALLY.

If MAN is saying they are going to do this I would have serious doubts. It is not standard policy for international companies.

JMHO.
