Don't get me wrong Russ. No way am I implying smoke and mirrors! I just don't think they will pay that much even for skilled labor UNLESS they intend to import the skilled labor. This could be the reason for the $10M you quoted.

We train Engineers. University graduates from various countries to handle state-of-the-art, unix based, wireline (oilfield term) data acquisition systems. Some of them, like from the Baltic states in Europe earn as little as $600 a month. People working in the US or main stream Europe are paid $3000+ a month.

When these guys complain about the difference. I just ask one question: When you are in your home country, are you making an above average salary for someone of your education? The answer is invariably yes and they shutup.
