Does everyone else have weird things like this on their keyboards or am I in a Twilight Zone episode?

The problem with getting a new computer so you can start fresh is that you can't. The manufacturers all put a lot of crap on there that they hope will lead you to use products and services with which they're affiliated. Icons and bookmarks gratis. Yeah, gratis. The extra keys do the same stupid things, only you can't get rid of them unless you pull them out with pliers. And then they have the audacity to act like they're giving you added value. Don't get me started. It took me a couple of days to get the extraneous crap off this computer when I first got it. You have to find out what all that stuff is before you're sure you can delete it. And some of it I've never figured out how to delete. Like, how do you get the stupid recycle bin off the desktop?

End of rant.

Karen

The lowercase symbol on the ~ key is a `, which is a mystery to me, as is the nonexistence of the cent symbol.

The greatest illogic on the keyboard to me is the layout of the alphabet, which goes back to the origin of the typewriter. "What were they thinking about?" I've wondered.
