Well,

after a 12 week recovery I am back at work. :(

Actually my surgery - 9 hours of microdisection inside my spinal canal - was a 100% success. Benign egg-size tumor is gone. No side effects other than a little tingling in my right arm (I had been told I wouldnt be able to raise or lower it)My tail bone is sore - proably from 3 months of laying around. I am one lucky dude! One of the painkillers I was on, Oxycotin, was really good. I actually saw 3 documentaries about its abuse including a c-span senate hearings on its use/abuse. I didnt have any trouble getting off painkillers - I stepped them down on my own - starting with Oxy to Perkoset to Vicadin. Doc did not want me getting used to habitual tylenol or advil so i dont take those at all. Would you believe in the hospital they actually offered me an IV of caffiene as a pain releif? (I declined in favor of the morphine and Oxy)

I also have now seen every police chase video ever captured.

I found out that the Doc is single and supposedly a "ladies man". Would you beleive this world class neuro surgeon is only 36 years old! I also found out that he was in Boston at the Rams game the night before my surgery. I wanted him in bed after cookies and milk by 9pm. He left for Australia 3 days after my surgery.

The best part of recovery was being home with the baby for 3 months. She is now missing me greatly when I'm at work.

Thanks to everyone for their prayers(theists) and thoughts(atheists).
