The less oversight, the more problems. Or are you a fan of big, unfettered and unaccountable government? I am not. GWB's team includes Cheney, Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz. Known for hawkishness - far more so than the majority of voters, stance on big business and small taxes (likewise), and cold war mindset (hence my 'followers of Strangelove' jibe). He put them together, he takes the blame. Rice and Powell are not such big beasts in Washington, they don't have the pull or the lobby contacts, and I don't believe you can honestly think they do. They certainly seem far weaker in terms of their pull on policy. (And any cabinet that can make Rice seem moderate - well...) I thought that the US was against inherited privilege? Each gains from their own merits, not who daddy is or who daddy knows...? Or are you a fan of nepotism? And as far as Labour goes, I'm not and never have been a member, I've canvassed and campaigned for the other two parties but never them. They're to my left on some matters; to my right on very few. Where I tend to agree with them is on certain non-polarised matters. I don't follow any party line, partly because I loathe hypocrisy and blinkered acceptance of someone else's lies. Sorry about that.
