Viscount Receives Largest Order of 2002

BURNABY, British Columbia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 28, 2002--Viscount Systems Inc. (OTCBB: VSYS - news) President and CEO Stephen Pineau is pleased to announce The Company has received its largest order of 2002 for its legacy secured entry telephone systems.

The first shipment will include equipment to secure approximately 600 multi-residential units. The project is to be installed by Viscount dealer AAA Alarms; a division of MTS Communications Inc. MTS is an affiliate of Bell Canada, Canada's largest telephone company.

``This order exemplifies our commitment to both expand the sales of our legacy systems and focus on the introduction of our revolutionary new MESH platform'' remarked Stephen Pineau, President and CEO of Viscount. ``As we ramp up our marketing efforts that coincide with the release of our new technology, we enjoy an increased ability to sell existing products.'' Mr. Pineau added, ``Viscount has a unique and enviable position. We have a 30 year plus history as a subsidiary of what is now Verizon Communications and a profitable business from a solid product line. The past five years have seen us lay the groundwork to emerge as a cutting edge concern in converged technologies that unify security and telecommunications functions.
