15:10 ET Lucent Tech: Rumor company may increase convertible size (LU) 4.94 -0.71: -- Update -- Stock has broken down to a new intraday and 52-week low. Hearing that shorts have lined up in size this afternoon. Short-sellers being drawn into the stock by a rumor that LU will increase the size of its convertible offering by as much as one-third. Possibly also seeing hedging by convertible funds ahead of the offering, which could come as early as tonight.
