Have you guys seen this? Un-freakin-believable. Turns out that six months after 9/11, INS delivers student visas for two of the hijackers to the Florida flight school where they got training.

It is totally embarrassing to INS; however, being a software engineer and a CPA who represented clients before IRS for years, I don't find it remarkable or even unusual for a government agency. This is the reason we need less government -- it is terribly inefficient at anything it does; anything the government can do, private business can do better.

And they want the GOVERNMENT to take over airline security! Many, that'll be a huge improvement....

Only six months? For the federal gov. that ain't bad. Just think how long it would have taken if GW hadn't appointed Ridge to speed up homeland security.

That is why it is a crapshoot bidding on gov jobs, both state and federal. You never know when they will get approval and start. The delays and politics eat you up.

PS Glad to see you posting here. The other thread is getting too paranoid. Getting on both your and BMW case was ridiculous. Now where will I get good info on Intel, unless I read the Intel thread, and I am not sure I want to go through all that.
