I was just checking money-supply figures in The Economist. The Australians are outdoing the US in this respect--but they still have a positive trade balance and their interest rates are a good bit higher than in the USA.

Reason I follow this is that a good bit of my economic welfare now depends on the Australian dollar. Since it is already near an all-time low against the US dollar, I have hopes of its holding its own, at least by that measure. But I wish they would cut down on their monetary expansion.
