Tom and others Just finished checking the long term chart for SGI. Assuming that this chart is accurate, the OBV is unbelievable------very little movement until the last few months. And then a massive move up---actually a rather phenomenal move up in OBV.

That has led me to look at Granville's 1976 book---"New Strategy of Daily Stock Market Timing for Maximum Profit"---this book deals with bear and bull markets. If you don't have a copy check the library or used bookstore ---worth reading and having your own copy.

IMO we are at or near the end of the bear market-----with some strong rallies coming in. The majority of people (masses as Granville refers to them) will take some time to return to buying as many have been burned in the market. So the opportunity now is for those astute enough to buy at very low levels----and to buy the right stocks.

Is SGI one of those stocks----that's the question we are all trying to answer.

Reg. SGI, in October of 2001 I mentioned the 4 to 5 level as a possibility. So now----we are there---where do we go now? Draw a line through all of the descending tops. This will give the next likely top to be broached.

One of the things that is needed with SGI---imo is another move down to a price higher than the major bottom which was about .51 cents. This could come very rapidly or the stock could continue to the next likely top before correcting.

It's hard for me not to be bullish on SGI long term. I am cautiously bullish on SGI, as a long term investment I would look for a confirmation in the chart patterns before investing a lot. As a short term trader----I would think about exiting when I achieved a certain percentage in gain---and not get too greedy---maybe reenter or move on to another stock.

A lot of people are saying we can no longer think long term. Perhaps they are right---however, if we believe in the survival of the free world then I would argue the other side and say we must think long term as well as short term.

Gosh, didn't mean to get too deep into this---however, I did. All food for thought.
