You're probably right. Intel's P4M isn't getting much past 2GHz any time soon, and I doubt Mobile Hammer will be able to climb very high, either.

Besides, I'm a big fan of the mini-notebooks (<16W market). I would take an 800MHz PIII-M over anything else on the market, as long as I can get it in a <1" thick, <3lbs package, with >12" screen, wireless networking, and a >3 hour battery. Something like this:

I'm hoping that Banias is able to take this level of power savings into the gigahertz performance range. I'd buy one in a second. Just think about how well a 1.3-1.5GHz processor would sell if it could be found in that small of a form factor.
