NEW YORK (CBS.MW) -- Crude futures topped $25 a barrel Monday for the first time in six months on the back of OPEC's decision Friday to leave its current production quotas in place for another three months.

The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries agreed Friday to keep its output quota unchanged through June and set a special meeting on June 26 in Vienna to reassess market conditions. See Friday's Futures Movers. The quota for 10 of the cartel's 11 members remains an aggregate of 21.7 million barrels a day. The latest cut of 1.5 million barrels began on Jan. 1.
