Sorry for responding so late, but I rarely read SI anymore except for when I post that the chat room is opening.

That's the same issue with the DOW/SPX/OEX, which I first started contemplating about in 1997. What I have noticed, that with even static/untrue openings the candles still have good reliability. I have no explaination as to why they still work, but they do. Very valid question, wish I had a better explanation.
