Do you know the difference between correlation and cause and effect? That's the same difference you'll see between VIX as a useful trading tool and VIX as a powerful predictor of market moves.

VIX doesn't predict market moves, but it does help assess the likelihoods of a change in market direction and the magnitude of that change.

For example, if there's a significant spike or drop in VIX (all else being the same, which it never is of course) that often helps identify the next move. It's still an art form using it (best used in combo with other indicators), but the strong inverse correlation between changes in VIX and changes in the S&P 100 Index (i.e. market returns) is statistically valid and irrefutable...

IMHO. Rob

Why is Kadisha cashing out?
Why in February?
From my calculations he cashed in about half of his holdings Why at these incredibly low prices?
I am very disturbed by this.
Any ideas?
