Interesting thought and amazing as it seems very plausible

What with the collapse of the dotcom bubble, devastation in telecoms in general, the discrediting of market hanky panky a la Enron, we definitely need some drivers for the economy. Real estate is getting a good kick in the pants, the Fed is making sure there's plenty of do re mi for that game of musical chairs, but the real winner is all those poor starving defense contractors who had to endure the drought to the peace dividend of the 1990's. Really a pisser that we lost the USSR as a convenient punching bag. Osama is going to be tenuous as a way to justify hundreds of billions of new spending. Better have some other bogeymen lined up.
