Is it possible that the option holders see the handwriting on the wall at that point and just want to escape with any values that may remain?

Thanks for your explanations of "max pain". I have learned a lot about a lot of things over the past few months.

I have been following a knowledgeable group of posters. Tonite they have been unusually quiet. At first I thought SI must have been having trouble. I'm beginning to think it reflects uncertainty about market direction. Maybe it means there isn't any direction but it seems like a rather pregnant pause.
