Thanks, Tom. The Dred Scott Decision was indeed racist. Doesn't this sound familiar? "[ If black people were ] entitled to the privileges and immunities of citizens, it would exempt them from the operation of the special laws and from the police regulations which [ Southern states ] considered to be necessary for their own safety. If [ the people ] were entitled to the privileges and immunities [ afforded by the Second Amendment ], it would exempt them from the operation of the special laws and from the police regulations which [ the gun banners ] consider to be necessary for their own safety. The times have changed, but the arguments haven't.
