I said hold their own against the US dollar, which is being inflated nearly as badly and which seems to be much more grossly overvalued.

I find it pretty hard to spend gold and I need money to spend. I am heavily hedged in gold and oil, however, for capital preservation.

The dollar is in for a big fall, and what it falls against, when it falls, is other currencies.

Have you looked at a graph of the Aussie dollar since 1990?
