Yes Granville is somewhat controversial. While he is controversial-----his books lay out his theories about the stock market very well.

I have yet to see a more lucid explanation of basic technical analysis and of the the theory of on-balance volume and the rising and falling fields with OBV and price.

What i like about the OBV theories is that it can detect accumulation before it happens and identify distribution before it becomes evident.

It does take time to use his theories---time that I don't have just now. So, I do a very cursory type analysis using his theories as guidelines.

I have a piano gig this weekend---so have to switch from the rises and falls of the market to piano.

Reg. SGI the capabilities which SGI has keeps getting press and of course the grammies are coming up----so likely more attention then.
