Your analogies are not correct. It would be more as if Roosevelt went after San Marino and a tribe of Javaneese head hunters at the same time. The increasingly demented fortunate son at the White House is now openly advocating unleashing nukes in the Mid East regardless of whatever advice world leaders give him.
