Cax, "Just hope the killer apps look lots better at 80 kbs than 18 kbs, they may not." - unless we're talking connecting your (sorry, my) GPRS phone to a lap top via Bluetooth, the display will be pretty small. Doesn't take a lot of bits to produce something meaningful. I am sure, that if Ilmarinen can listen to C-SPAN while fishin' on a lake or if I can download a java enabled weather radar when there is freezing rain around on my way home, it will be plenty. Maybe SI on the road, at a boring airport. It's not the bit rate..
