Franq. TI does have 90 nanometer DSP technology. I think it is commercialized. Thus theycan summon huge processing power at low energy expenditure.

TI does have the DotWireless folks working on the chips, but if they aren't okay, there is a real problem for Ericy because the board is not the same as Qcom's and Ericy won't be able to switch vendors quickly. Remember, we're not talking 1x but UMTS version of 3G.

So if all working WCDMA phones will have a MSM5200 initially and hopefully for a long time, will the interoperability using TI chips being as good as using the CSM from Qualcomm? What functionality might be compromised?

Will it take a TI handset chip to work with the Errorickson TI basestation chips for it function optimally?
