Re the discredited historian

His premise was that probate records (which he distorted and invented) would reflect ownership levels of guns. In my experience a gunowner often gives his guns to his/her children or others before he/she dies so even if the guy had not distorted and invented data his conclusion that few guns were actually owned would still be garbage.
