Our union had the proud rep of never having gone on strike. (Like, why bother?). I even reclaimed political donations to make sure there was nothing going to Labour.
I was simply gullible enough to believe that there might be a useful function to be met, representing my colleagues against a more-than-usually incompetent management team.

(there wasn't. We all left.)

Like I said, I'm no saint. But my accent is unchanged, bar perhaps a tinge of regret...
