You response, de facto, shows you don't have a clue.
The Judiciary, Congress, and Executive check and balance each other.

If somebody doesn't like what Bush and Ashcroft are doing, as you suggested, all they need to do is prevail in Court to have them cease and desist.

To the best of my knowledge, Bush hasn't done anything to curtail the power of the Courts.
