You must have never visited the west bank to have concluded that the Palistinians don't want the destruction of Israel. Having been there several times, and met with many of them, you are clearly wrong. Its is everywhere--in the Mosques, in the pre schools, in the universities. The notion that Israel's occupation is what is driving the violence is nonsense. Before 1967, when the west bank was part of Jordan, there was still violent incursions by Palistinians into Israel. And, all of the Arab press at the time called for the destruction of the State of Israel. Nasser before the 6 day war claimed he would "drive the jews into the sea". Indeed back then the arabs did not even try to conceal their anti Jewish sentiment. Now that is politically incorrect so when dealing with the western press they speak of being anti zionist, not anti-jewish. however,if you read the periodicals in arabic, and listen to their speeches in their language, the words they chose to use reflects a viscious anti jewish propaganda.

There is no doubt that Israel had made lots of mistakes along the way, but there is also no doubt that the arab world sees a peace that includes an israeli withdrawal as but one step towards its ultimate destruction.

I'd suggest that before you pontificate about what is happening over there that you visit the area including arab countries and the west bank. You might learn something that varies from your politically correct stance. DSM
