My dad (a former career programmer) refers to any program as "he", whether he wrote it or not.

I refer to a program according to whoever wrote it as if the program were them. If I wrote it, the program is "I", if I'm talking to the author, it's "you", if it's written by someone else, it's "it" or "he", and if it's a MSFT product, it's "they".

That said, I'd best get back to work on me.
