How many CPU shrinks have ever resulted in less than a 27% speed improvement? At this point, after Intel's barrage of "technology demonstrations" buyers are bored by a P4 running at 3GHZ, and thrilled by the notion of an Athlon at 2.2GHZ. Of course, given the limp IPC of the flaccid Pretendium 4 architecture, that's the way it should be... :-)
