We need to have a sea change in thinking amongst the population first. There is a large enough % of the population that still thinks, no matter what you show them, that we have to get along with these despots, maniacs in foreign countries, "or they'll be mad at us", "it's not right to punish their babies", "can't we all just get along". The standard bleeding heart whines to justify doing everything and anything except what properly needs to done. Then there is a chance of getting out of office the people that are doing things that are counterproductive. All the money that we have sent the arab world in the last 50 years has helped their populations in what way? How has it made things better for them? How has it had any change on the rigidness and intolerance of islam? What great contributions have they made to mankind in any area other than raised the bar on torture and punishment?
