Unbelievable. No, I didn't know that. How on earth not... what less compromising position do you need than an unprovoked full-scale assault on a key naval base?? It's not the kind of thing you can write off as a misunderstanding, or an accident, or similar...

But harking back to the isolationism theme, this is one of my key fears about your current government - that they really don't see why diplomacy matters, as if they believe that the current advantage will continue ad infinitum, and a lack of allies won't matter, come what may...
It just seems so dangerous. And tempting fate as none since Daedalus.
